Your Office 365 subscription enables you to download and install Office on these devices:

PC or Windows tablet | Mac | iPhone | iPad | Android phone | Android tablet

Some subscriptions allow you to put Office on more than one computer. For example, Office 365 Home comes with 5 installs for PC and Mac and 5 for tablets, plus you can share your subscription.

Download and install Office on a PC or Windows tablet

Tip   In some situations, you goal might not be to install but to reinstall Office. For example, maybe you replaced a broken hard drive.

  1. Sign in to your account page.

  2. Under Install Information, click Install.

    Tip   If you don’t have any installs left, you can deactivate one.

  3. At the bottom of the screen, click Run.

  4. Follow the prompts and accept the license agreement.

  5. When you see "You're good to go", click All done.

    When you see "You're good to go", choose the "All done" button.

After installing, you can open Office applications on Windows 8 by searching for them on the Start screen.

Download and install Office on a Mac

  1. Sign in to your account page.

  2. Under Install Information, click Install.

    Tip   If you don’t have any installs left, you can deactivate one.

  3. After Office downloads, double-click the .dmg file to open it.

  4. Click Office Installer and follow the steps to install Office.

  5. After Office installs, close the Office Installer. The Get Started wizard will open.

    If the wizard doesn't open, start an application like Word and click Activate Now.

  6. Click Sign in to an existing Office 365 subscription.

  7. Sign in with the email address that’s associated with Office.

Download and install Office on a mobile device

On your iPhone, download Word, Excel, Outlook, and PowerPoint from the Apple app store.

On your iPad, download Word, Excel, Outlook, and PowerPoint from the Apple app store.

On your Android phone, download Office Mobile and Outlook from the Google Play store.

On your Android tablet, download Word, Excel, Outlook, and PowerPoint from the Google Play store.
