Quick Assist
With the Windows Quick Assist app, you can give or get PC help over a remote connection. Remember: Only use Quick Assist with people you trust, since they can access your PC.
Important: You might need to update Quick Assist to continue using it. For more info, see Install Quick Assist.
To open Quick Assist on your Windows 10/11 PC, do one of the following:

Option 1: Press Ctrl + Windows logo key + Q at the same time.

Option 2: Use the Start menu:

Option 3: Select the Search bar or Search icon, enter quick assist, then select Quick Assist in the list of results.
After Quick Assist opens, enter the code provided to you by Microsoft.
Quick Assist web app
For: Windows 8.1, supported Windows Server versions, supported macOS versions
Use the Quick Assist web app to get help with your computer directly from Microsoft support agents. The app connects your computer with the Microsoft support agent’s computer using a remote connection.
Here’s what to do if you’re working with a Microsoft support agent and they tell you to open the Quick Assist app:

Open the Quick Assist web app

The Microsoft support agent will give you a security code—enter it when prompted.

Follow any other on-screen instructions.
Important: The Quick Assist web app is only available for use with verified Microsoft support agents.
