If you're working on more than one document or spreadsheet at the same time,

it can help to see them all at once.

If you have Windows 10, you can see them side by side by dragging one of them to the edge of your screen.

But if you have Office, you have a lot more options.

To see 2 documents at once in Word, select View > View Side by Side

And if you scroll up or down, the other scrolls as well.

If you want them to scroll separately, select Synchronous Scrolling to turn it off.

If you want to work on different parts of the same file, you can do that by splitting your window into panes.

Just select Split

Now, you can look at one part while editing another.

Splitting windows works the same in Excel, but there you can split both horizontally and vertically.

To resize the panes, just drag the border.

That's it.

When you need to see more than one thing at once, everything you need is right there, on the View tab.
