Use your keyboard and a screen reader such as NVDA to buy Skype (version 8) Credit.

Skype Credit is an easy way to pay for Skype features that aren't free. You can use it to make calls to mobile phones and landlines, and send SMS text messages. You can also use your Skype Credit to purchase Skype products such as subscriptions and Skype Numbers.

When your Skype Credit runs out, you can simply purchase more, without committing to a monthly subscription.

Buy Skype Credit

  1. In the Skype main view, press the Tab key until you hear "Use dial pad," and then press Enter.

  2. Press the Tab key until you hear "Skype to Phone," and then press Enter.

  3. The Skype to Phone page opens. Press the Down arrow key repeatedly to move down on the page. You hear the available options.

  4. When you hear the option you want, press the Tab key until you hear "Continue, link" and press Enter.

  5. If this is your first time purchasing a Skype product, the page for your billing details opens in your browser. Press the Tab key to move through the text fields in the form and type the required information.

    Once you're done, press the Tab key until you hear "Save," and then press Enter.

  6. The Check your order and pay page opens. Press the Tab key until you hear the payment method you want, and then press Enter.

  7. Press the Tab key to navigate the text fields for the selected method and type the required information.

  8. Once you're done, press the Tab key until you hear "Pay now," and then press Enter.

  4. When you hear the option you want, press the Tab key until you hear "Link, Proceed with Skype Credit purchase," and then press Return.

  5. If this is your first time purchasing a Skype product, the page for your billing details opens in your browser. Press the Tab key to move through the text fields in the form and type the required information.

    Once you're done, press the Tab key until you hear "Save," and then press Return.

  6. The Check your order and pay page opens. Press the Tab key until you hear the payment method you want, and then press Return.

Buy Skype Credit

  1. In Skype, swipe left or right until you hear "Calls," and then double-tap the screen.

  2. Swipe left until you hear "Skype to phone, add funds," and then double-tap the screen.

  3. The Skype to Phone page opens. VoiceOver announces your current Skype Credit balance and subscriptions. Slide one finger down the screen to move down on the page. You hear the available options.

  4. When you hear the option you want, swipe right until you hear "Continue, button," and then double-tap the screen.

  5. You hear: "App Store." Swipe right until you hear "Purchase" and double-tap the screen.

  6. If you're prompted to sign in with your Apple ID, use the on-screen keyboard to type your password. Slide one finger around the center of the screen until you hear "Buy," and then double-tap the screen.

  7. If this is your first time purchasing a Skype product, the page for your billing details opens. Swipe right to move through the options. Double-tap the screen to select an option. Use the on-screen keyboard to type the required information in the text fields.

    Once you're done, swipe left until you hear "Done," and then double-tap the screen.
