Use a screen reader to add chat expressions in Skype (version 8)

Read out loud symbol with the label Screen reader content. This topic is about using a screen reader with Office

This article is for people who use a screen reader program with the Office products and is part of the Office Accessibility content set. For more general help, see Office Support home.

Use Skype with your keyboard and a screen reader, such as NVDA or Narrator, the built-in Windows screen reader, to add chat expressions to your instant messages (IM) by searching for them or browsing through expression categories. You can add emoticons, stickers, and mojis. Emoticons are small emotion icons that can be added within text in a single chat message. Sticker images and moji videos are larger entities, where each sticker or moji is sent as an individual message without additional text.
