Turn on Time Clock for your team in StaffHub

Last updated 14 November, 2017

Employees can clock in and out using their StaffHub mobile app. And, you can track exact hours worked by using StaffHub's time clock feature. You have the option of setting a location to track whether employees are clocking in/out on location.

Note: This new feature is gradually rolling out world wide. If you don't see the Time Clock option, you don't yet have it. Check back soon!

Turn on Time Clock

You need to turn on Time Clock for each team you want to use it.

  1. Sign in to StaffHub with your Office 365 work account, such as rob@contoso.com.

  2. Choose a team who you want to use Time Clock.

  3. Choose Settings.

  4. In the Time Clock section, choose Begin set up.

  5. Choose Next.

  6. If you want to know whether employees are at a certain location when they clock in and out, choose Include location detection. Then enter the address or GPS coordinates of the location where the employee should be when they clock in and out.

If you need to set a precise point for employees to clock in and out from, we recommend using GPS coordinates instead of an address.

    To get the GPS coordinates:

    1. Open Google Maps.

    2. Type the address of your location.

    3. Right-click the place or area on the map, and then choose What's here?

    4. At the bottom you'll see a card with the coordinates.

    5. Copy and paste the coordinates into StaffHub.

  7. Choose Turn on.

  8. Let your team know Time Clock will prompt them for GPS access on their mobile device when they go to clock in for the first time. If time clock with location is turned on, they must allow GPS access on their device so they can clock in and out.

StaffHub only detects their location when they clock in and out.
