Turn off or turn on Microsoft Forms

By default, Microsoft Forms is turned on for everyone in your organization. As an admin, you can set up Microsoft Forms, then turn it off and turn it on again for specific people by following these steps:

  1. Sign in to Office 365 with your work or school account as a global admin. Learn how to sign in.

  2. In the Microsoft 365 admin center, choose Users > Active users.

  3. Select the box next to the name of the person for whom you want to turn off Microsoft Forms.

  4. On the right, in the Product licenses row, choose Edit.

  5. In the Product licenses pane, expand the Office 365 license to see all the features.

  6. Move the Microsoft Forms toggle to Off. To turn it on again, move the toggle to On.

    Note: Check this list to see if you have an Office license that includes Microsoft Forms. If your license is listed, you will need to move the Microsoft Forms toggle to Off to completely turn off user access.

  7. At the bottom of the Product licenses pane, choose Save > Close > Close.

I turned on Microsoft Forms, but users in my organization still can't access it

Check the following setting in Microsoft Azure to ensure Microsoft Forms is enabled:

  1. Login to Microsoft Azure.

  2. In the left pane, click Azure Active Directory.

  3. Click Enterprise applications.

  4. In the search field, type CollabDBService.

  5. Click CollabDBService in the search results list.

  6. Under Manage, click Properties.

  7. For the option, Enabled for users to sign-in?, select Yes.

  8. Click Save.
