Turn AutoCorrect on or off in Word

  1. Go to File > Options > Proofing and select AutoCorrect Options.

  2. On the AutoCorrect tab, select or clear Replace text as you type.

  1. On the Word menu, select Preferences, and then AutoCorrect.

  2. Select or clear Replace text as you type.

  1. Go to the Review and select the arrow next to Spelling & Grammar.

  2. Select AutoCorrect Options... and then select or clear Replace text as you type

Word for the web currently has a slightly more limited set of AutoCorrect Options than Word on the desktop does.
