Sign up for a subscription

Make a big impact with Announcements

Follow these steps to sign up for Microsoft 365 Business Basic (previously called Office 365 Business Essentials):

  1. Search for Buy Microsoft 365 Business, locate Microsoft 365 Business Basic, and select Buy now.

  2. Enter your name, phone number, and company name, then select Next.

  3. Choose Send Verification Code, enter the code you received on your phone, and select Verify.

  4. Select Use a domain you already own, enter your domain name, and choose Verify ownership. If you're using a common domain registrar like GoDaddy, WordPress or 1&1 Ionos, it's an easy three-step process.

  5. Select Sign in to your domain registrar, enter your login credentials, choose Sign In, enter your two-factor code if you have one set up, select Verity, then Connect.

  6. Enter a new User ID, a password, confirm it, and select Sign up.

  7. Enter the number of users you'll have on your account, select Next, enter your payment information, then select Place order > Continue.

  8. Enter a new User ID for and password for yourself and select Sign up.

  9. Choose to use your default domain, then select Use this domain

  10. Enter the names and usernames for your additional users and select Add users and assign licenses.
    Optionally enter the alternate email addresses where your users will receive their login credentials, and select Send email and continue.

  11. To activate your DNS records, select Continue, verify you are setting up records for email, Teams and Skype, and Mobile Device Management, then choose Configure > Connect (you might be asked to re-authenticate to your registrar, or enter the DNS records manually depending on the DNS registrar you are using).

  12. To confirm access to your registrar, select Connect. You are now done with setup and can set up Teams in the Microsoft 365 admin center.

To sign up for and set up Microsoft 365 Business Basic, search for Buy Microsoft 365 Business, and select it.
Locate Microsoft 365 Business Basic, and select Buy now. Enter your email address, select Next, then Set up account.

Enter your name, phone number, and company name, then select Next.

Choose Send Verification Code, enter the code you received on your phone, and select Verify.

Select Use a domain you already own, enter your domain name, and choose Verify ownership. If you're using a common domain registrar like GoDaddy, WordPress or 1&1 Ionos, it's an easy three-step process.

Select Sign in to your domain registrar, enter your login credentials, choose Sign In, enter your two-factor code if you have one set up, select Verity, then Connect.

Enter a new User ID, a password, confirm it, and select Sign up.

Enter the number of users you'll have on your account, select Next, enter your payment information, then select Place order.

Review any special offers, then select Continue to set up account.

Choose to use your default domain, then select Use this domain.

Enter the names and usernames for your additional users, verify that their passwords will be sent to you and select Add users and assign licenses.
Enter the alternate email addresses where your users will receive their login credentials, and select Send email and continue.

To activate your DNS records, select Continue, verify you are setting up records for email, Teams and Skype, and Mobile Device Management, then choose Configure.

To confirm access to your registrar, select Connect.

Setup is now complete.

  1. To sign up for Microsoft 365 Business Standard (previously called Office 365 Business Premium) search for it online and select it.

  2. Under Microsoft 365 Business Standard, choose Buy now.

  3. Enter your email address, select Next, and then select Set up account.

  4. Enter your name, phone number, and company name. If you would like help from a Microsoft partner, select the Microsoft partners may contact me check box, and then select Next.

  5. To verify your identity, choose Send verification code. Enter the code that you receive on your phone, and then select Verify.

  6. Select Add your domain now.

  7. Enter your domain name, and then select Verify ownership.

  8. If your domain is hosted with a common registrar, like WordPress or GoDaddy, you can sign in to verify that you own the domain, right here. Select Sign in, enter the credentials for your registrar, and select Sign in again. Depending on how you set up your sign in, you may be prompted to enter a code from your phone. Choose Verify, then Authorize.

  9. Enter a username and password. This will become your sign-in information and email for Office 365. Select Sign up.

  10. Choose the number of users you would like and the billing plan you prefer. Select Next.

  11. Enter your company's address. Select Next.

  12. Enter your billing information. Select Place order. After a few moments, your account will be created.

  13. Select Go to setup. You've completed signup. Choose Exit setup and then set up later in the Microsoft 365 admin center.

To sign up for Microsoft 365 Business Standard, search for it online and select it.

Under Microsoft 365 Business Standard, choose Buy now.

Enter your email address, select Next, then Set up account.

Enter your name, phone number, and company name.

If you would like help from a Microsoft partner, check the box Microsoft partners may contact me, then select Next.

To verify your identity, choose Send verification code, enter the code you received on your phone, and select Verify.

You can now choose to buy a new custom domain or use your existing email with limitations. Since we already own a custom domain, select Add your domain now.

Enter your domain name, then select Verify ownership.

If your domain is hosted with a common registrar, like WordPress or GoDaddy, you can sign in to verify you own the domain, right here. Select Sign in, enter the credentials for your registrar, and select Sign in again. Depending on how you set up your sign in, you may be prompted to enter a code from your phone. Choose Verify, then Authorize

Enter a username and password. This will become your sign-in information and email for Microsoft 365. Then select Sign up.

Choose the number of users you would like, the billing plan you prefer, then select Next.

Enter your company's address. Select Next.

Enter your billing information. Select Place order.

After a few moments, your account will be created. Select Go to setup.

You've completed signup. Choose Exit setup and then set up later in Microsoft 365 admin center.

  3. Enter your personal email address, and then select Next.

  4. To set up your account, enter your name, phone number, and company name. If you would like help from a Microsoft partner, select the Microsoft partners may contact me check box. Then select Next.

  5. To verify your phone number, select Send verification code. You will receive a code on your phone. Enter the code, and select Verify.

  6. If you already have a domain, choose Get a Microsoft domain for now. Enter your company name. This becomes your temporary email address. It also becomes part of your permanent SharePoint and OneDrive URLs. Select Check availability, and then select Next.

  7. Enter your username and a password, and then select Sign up to create your account.

  8. Enter the number of users and choose a billing plan. Then select Next.

  9.  Enter your company's address, and then select Next.

  10. Enter your credit card information, and then select Place order. Your account will be created.

  11. Select Go to setup. You've completed sign up!

  12. Choose Exit and continue later. When convenient, go to the Microsoft 365 admin center, where you can complete setup at your own pace.

To sign up for Microsoft 365 Business Premium, search for it online and select it. Choose See plans and pricing, and then Buy now. Enter your personal email address. Then select Next.

Set up account. Enter your name, phone number, company name. If you would like help from a Microsoft partner, check the box Microsoft partners may contact me. Then select Next.

Enter your company name. This becomes your temporary email address. It also becomes a part of your permanent SharePoint and OneDrive URLs. Select Check availability. Then, Next.

Enter your company's address. Then, Next.

Enter your credit card information. Then, Place order.

After a few moments, your account will be created. Select Go to setup. You've completed sign up.

Choose Exit and continue later to take a look at the admin center, where you can complete setup at your own pace later.
