Sharing a folder with a channel gives the rest of your team access to your documents.

Share a folder from OneDrive

  1. Go to the OneDrive  OneDrive icon tab on the left side of Teams.

  2. Select the folder you wish to share, and click on Show more actions for this item  Ellipsis icon.

  3. From here, you have three options: Share Share icon in Teams for iOS, Copy link , and Manage access  .

Note: If you are trying to share a folder from a third-party cloud storage service, Please note that third-party cloud storage options are now supported through individual apps you can add to Teams. You will no longer see the "Add cloud storage" in the OneDrive app on Teams' left navigation bar and within the Files tab in Teams channels. Now you can add the third-party storage app directly from the Teams App Store.

  1. In the desktop or web app, go to the Files tab in your channel of choice.

  2. Select Add cloud storage, and then select the service you want.
If you haven't done so already, you'll need to sign in to your account to access your files.

  3. Once you see your folders, select the one you'd like to share with the channel.

Important: Sharing a folder won't automatically grant access to everyone in your team. You'll need to do that through your cloud storage provider's website.

Note: Contact your IT admin if cloud storage options don't appear.
