What are Safe Links and Safe Attachments?

Outlook.com Premium includes advanced security features, such as protection for attachments and web addresses (URLs) in your email messages. Many of the benefits of Outlook.com Premium, such as Safe Links protection, are included in Office 365 Home and Office 365 Personal subscriptions. These features are designed to help protect you from malware and phishing attacks.

What if I don't want these features turned on?

If, for some reason, you don't want Safe Links protection turned on, contact support. Here's how:

  1. In Outlook.com, choose Help (?).

    The Help pane opens.

  2. Near the bottom of the Help pane, choose Help.

    A Contact Support box opens.

  3. In the support box, type your question or request about Safe Links, and then choose Get help.
