Remove conditional formatting from your worksheet

While you can't apply conditional formatting to your data in Excel Online, you can open a workbook that already has it applied. If you want to remove conditional formatting you're seeing in your worksheet, you won't be able to clear the conditional formatting rules because the conditional formatting features aren't available. Instead, you can just remove the formatting from the cells. Here's how:

  1. Select the cells that have the conditional formatting you want to remove.

  2. Click Home > Clear.

Clear button on the Home tab

  3. Pick Clear Formats.
