You can drag a folder in Outlook.com to a new spot in your Favorites hierarchy, or you can use the Move option in the shortcut menu. You can also rename any folders you create.

If you can't see your email folders, check that the folders aren't collapsed. Select > Folders to expand the folder list.

Some folders might no longer be visible in the Folders list, but you can find items saved in the missing folders using search.

Under Favorites, select and drag a folder up or down in the list.
Note: You can't change the order of folders under Folders. but you can reorder any folders in your Favorites.
Move a folder into another folder

Under Folders, select and drag a folder or sub-folder over the folder into which you want to move it.
Notes:

You can't move sub-folders into the main Folders menu. Sub-folders must always be inside another folder. You can make a sub-folder a Favorite to make it appear in the main Favorites list. To do this, select the star to Add to favorites.

If you accidentally make a folder a sub-folder, create a new top-level folder and copy all your email from the sub-folder to the new top-level folder.

Rename a folder
Note: You can't rename default folders such as Inbox, Drafts, or Deleted Items.

Under Folders, right-click the folder you want to rename and select Rename.

Enter a name for the folder and press Enter.
