Bing for business lets you use the powerful Bing search engine to search your Office 365 organization's SharePoint files, internal websites, people in the global address list, and Office 365 groups.
Search for Documents
You can search for files or documents shared on SharePoint and OneDrive, and from within Office 365 groups. In this example, we searched for "new employee training deck." You can also search for the user who owns a file and then click on their files tab to see if it's in the list.
You can allow or prevent user access to Document search by changing the Allow Document search on bing.com setting in the Office 365 admin center.
Search for Bookmarks
You can set up bookmarks to popular internal and external websites that your users frequent. In this example, we searched for "Benefits," and Bing returned the employee benefits website.
You set up and configure these websites from the Bing for business Admin portal.
Search for People
People search pulls in all of the information about a person in your organization so that you don't have to search in multiple places to get the full story. For example, for our people search of Rose Kramer, we can see who she works for and with, her publicly shared files, her organization structure, and the groups that she belongs to.
You can allow or prevent user access to People search by changing the Allow People search on bing.com setting in the Office 365 admin center.
Search for Groups
When you search for Office 365 groups, you'll get information about the group, as well as tabs showing the group's owners, members, files, and conversations. If you click a conversation title, you'll be taken to Outlook on the web, and the conversation will open directly so that you can respond to or review that conversation.
You can allow or prevent user access to Groups search by changing the Allow Group search on bing.com setting in the Office 365 admin center.
Turn on Bing for business for your organization
