How can I tell if I'm using the beta?

Sign in to Outlook.com and go to Mail. If the bottom left corner looks like this, you're using the beta:

Why can't I see the toggle for the beta?

  1. If you're using Internet Explorer 10, Safari 8 or an earlier version of Safari, you won't see the Try the beta toggle. Try using a different web browser to join the beta.

  2. If you're composing or reading a message in single-line view rather than using the reading pane, the toggle isn't visible. Try turning on the reading pane by selecting Settings and going to Quick settings.

  3. Some users won't see the toggle while we finish rolling out new features.
