This topic describes keyboard shortcuts for common tasks in Microsoft Search Server. These keyboard shortcuts refer to the U.S. keyboard layout. Keys on other keyboard layouts may not correspond exactly to the keys on a U.S. keyboard.

For keyboard shortcuts in which you press two or more keys simultaneously, the keys are separated by a plus sign (+). For keyboard shortcuts in which you press one key immediately followed by another key, the keys are separated by a comma (,).

Keyboard shortcuts are designed to work with supported Web browsers. The behavior of keyboard shortcuts differs depending on the browser that you use. For example, in Windows Internet Explorer, the shortcut key combination that is assigned to a hyperlink places the active focus on that hyperlink. You must then press ENTER to follow the hyperlink. In Firefox, pressing the key combination follows the link automatically.

In browsers that do not support shortcut key combinations, you may still be able to use the TAB key to move between commands.

To print this topic, press the TAB key to select Show All, press ENTER, and then press CTRL+P.
