The following changes are being added to your existing subscription at no extra cost.
Install Office on all your devices, sign in to five at the same time
You'll be able install Microsoft 365 on all your devices and be signed in to five at the same time―that means you can use Office no matter where you are or what device you’re on. This includes any combination of PCs, Macs, tablets, and phones.

Why do I have to sign in?
Office activates based on your Microsoft account, so you'll need to sign in to activate Office, and you should remain signed in as you use Office.
How do I sign in?
You'll be prompted to sign in with your Microsoft account when you install Office on your device.
What happens if I sign in to a sixth device?
You'll see a "limit reached" message and will need to sign out of another device before you can sign in.
How do I sign out of a device?
You can sign out of your Office on your device, or you can go to the Microsoft account, Installs page and sign out of Office on a PC or Mac from any web browser.
What happens if I use Microsoft 365 without signing in?
Microsoft 365 will periodically prompt you to sign in. After you sign in, Microsoft 365 remembers your account and keeps you signed in.
What happens if I sign out of Microsoft 365?
You might lose some subscription features if you sign out. We recommend that you stay signed in to Microsoft 365 on the devices you use the most.
Can other people sign in to Microsoft 365 on my device?
If a person signs in to your device without a subscription, Microsoft 365 will run in read-only mode. If you have Microsoft 365 Family, you can share your subscription with five additional people. Each person can sign in to your device and use Microsoft 365 after you share your subscription with them.
What if I'm not connected to the Internet?
Microsoft 365 works without an Internet connection for 30 days. You'll see warnings if you haven't connected in awhile. After 30 days, Microsoft 365 will run in read-only mode. To enable editing, connect the device to the Internet.
Sharing Microsoft 365 Family will be easier, and you can share with more people
Microsoft 365 Family is meant for sharing, so we're making it easier to share your subscription.
Share Microsoft 365 Familywith five other people
For Microsoft 365 Family, six people will be able to use the subscription instead of five. Each person will be able to install Office on all their devices and be signed in to five devices at the same time. That means they can use Office no matter where they are or what device they’re on. Each person will continue to get all the benefits, including premium versions of Word, Excel, and PowerPoint, plus 1 TB of OneDrive cloud storage and more.
Microsoft 365 is automatically shared with your Microsoft family
If you have a Microsoft family, Microsoft 365 will be shared with each family member automatically (up to 5 people). This means you don't have to send a separate invitation to each member. If you prefer to share with others outside your family, you can always change who you're sharing with.

You can manage your Microsoft 365 subscription on the Microsoft account, Overview page. Be sure to bookmark this page so you can install Office, sign out of devices, share your Microsoft 365 Family subscription, access your OneDrive storage, and more.

These changes will take effect automatically unless you cancel your subscription or contact Microsoft support to address your concerns.
