I don't have an Office 365 account. How do I access Microsoft Teams?
To use Microsoft Teams, you need an Office 365 account with the appropriate Office 365 license plan listed below. Talk to your company's IT administrator to get an account or sign your company up for Office 365.
What is the availability for Education and Government customers?
Microsoft Teams is available in all Office 365 A1 suite licensing: Office 365 A1, Office 365 A1 Plus, and Office 365 A5, as well as existing Office 365 A3 customers who purchased E3 prior to its retirement.
Microsoft Teams will begin rolling out for the US Government Cloud Community (GCC) on July 17 and be available for all eligible customers by the end of August 2018. I have an Office 365 Education (EDU) account. How do I access Microsoft Teams?
For Office 365 A1 suite users, Microsoft Teams is off by default. Talk to your company's IT administrator about turning it on.
I have an Office 365 subscription. Why can’t I access Microsoft Teams?
If you have a personal Office 365 subscription, you won't be able to access Microsoft Teams. To access the app, you need one of the following Office 365 license plans:
Enterprise E1, E3, or E5
Enterprise E4 (for anyone who purchased this plan prior to its retirement)
If you’re licensed for a non-suite plan like Skype for Business Online Plan 2, then you won’t be able to get the app. Talk to your IT admin about changing your license or purchasing additional licenses for your company.

I think I have the right Office 365 license. Why can't I access Microsoft Teams?
Your company's IT administrator needs to flip the switch to give you access to Microsoft Teams.
IT administrators may also need to do additional configuration work, such as updating firewall policies, to ensure employees can fully use Microsoft Teams.
