ISSUE

After updating Office, if you launch the Ribbon or the Quick Access Toolbar customization dialogs, the dialog might not show any commands available. For example, the list of “Popular Commands” or “Commands Not in the Ribbon” may be empty.

STATUS: FIXED

This issue is fixed in Version 1706 (Build 8229.2103) for production customers. To update Office, open any Office 2016 app and choose File > Account > Update Options > Update.

The previous workaround for this issue for the Quick Access Toolbar (or if the fix hasn't rolled out to your Insider ring yet): type the name of the command in the Tell Me box (keyboard shortcut Alt+Q), then right-click the command and select “Add to Quick Access Toolbar”.
