Tasks and resources have been added to the project but not to the baseline plan
Some tasks and resources appear in your schedule but do not appear in your baseline plan. Unless you save these tasks and resources in the baseline plan, you won't later be able to compare the most current information in the schedule with the baseline information.
It's a good idea to save a baseline plan consisting of all the tasks and resources in your project. You can save a more up-to-date version of your baseline plan with the Planning Wizard.
Using the Planning Wizard, you can:
Update the baseline for only the tasks and resources without baseline information.
Microsoft Project will add the missing tasks and resources to the existing baseline plan.
Update the baseline plan for all tasks and resources.
Project will replace the existing baseline plan with a new one consisting of all the tasks and resources in the project in their current state. Your baseline plan will reflect the latest version of your schedule. Note that you can save multiple baselines.
Leave the baseline unchanged for now.
Project will make no changes to the baseline plan.
You may also want to:
-
Save a baseline plan yourself. On the Project tab, click Set Baseline. You can save all the tasks to the baseline plan or select the tasks to add to the baseline plan.
-
Leave the baseline unchanged and save an interim plan instead using the same instructions.
If you don't want the Planning Wizard to display this information again, select the Don't tell me about this again check box.
