In addition to naming properties, you can determine whether null values are allowed for the selected column.

Physical name

Type the name of the column as it appears in its table.

Conceptual name

Type a name used for a column in the conceptual view of the model.

Sync names when typing

Select this check box to cause the Physical Name or Conceptual Name box to be updated with the same name as you type in the other box.

Default Value

Type a literal value or a calculated value (using an expression or function call).

Is literal value

Click to indicate that the default is a literal value.

Is an expression or function call

Click to indicate that the default is a calculated value.

Allow NULL values

Select this check box to allow null values in this column.

If you clear this check box, any row that has no value for this column will cause validation to fail.
