Week numbers can appear in the calendar month view and on the Date Navigator in the folder pane. Week numbers restart at the beginning of each year. By default, week numbers are turned off.

Important: Steps may be different between new and classic Outlook for Windows. To determine which version of Outlook you're using, look for File on the ribbon. If there's no File option, follow the steps under the New Outlook tab. If the File option appears, select the tab for Classic Outlook.

To turn on and view week numbers:

  1. In the calendar, on the View tab, select Calendar settings.

  2. Select Calendar > View.

  3. Under Calendar appearance, select Show week numbers, then select Save.

To view the week numbers, open your calendar, and on the ribbon select Month. On the left margin of the calendar, you'll see numerals representing the week numbers.

To turn on week numbers, change the week number setting in the Microsoft Office Backstage view.

  1. Click the File tab.

  2. Click Options.

  3. Click Calendar.

  4. Under Display options, select or clear the Show week numbers in the month view and in the Date Navigator check box.
