Description    The Group field contains the name of the group that a resource belongs to.

Best Uses    Add the Group field to a resource view when you want to be able to display, sort, filter, or edit resources by the resource group.

Example    In your project, you have three groups of resources: Plumbers, Construction, and Management. You have added the Group field to the Resource Sheet view and assigned all resources to their appropriate group. If you want to review resource information for all plumbers, you can apply a filter that shows only those resources that belong to the Plumbers group. Resources in the other groups are not shown.
