No two organizations are alike, and with Outlook Customer Manager, you can customize the information that you store for your contacts, companies, and deals. You can add your own fields and information by adding columns to your contacts, companies, and deals pages.
Add columns to your view
From either the Contacts, Companies, or Deals page, choose +Add Column.
Enter a column name and a type. You can choose from a text column, a number column, or a date column.
Choose Add to save your custom field. You'll see the column appear to the far right of your view.
Note: Depending on your screen resolution and how many columns you've added, you might have to use the scroll bar at the bottom of the screen to see your new column.
Add data to your column
Once you've added a column, you can enter information in that field on the contact, company, or deal's item page.
From either the Contacts, Companies, or Deals page, select one of your items.
Choose View Details.
Your custom field(s) will be shown at the bottom of the window. Enter any pertinent information, then choose Save.
Edit your column
Once you've created a new column, you can change the column's name by choosing the pencil icon. Once you've typed in a new name, choose Update.
To delete your custom column, choose the pencil icon and then choose the Delete icon in the Edit Column dialog box.
Note: You cannot change the column type after you create the column.
Customize currency and deal stages
In addition to creating your own custom columns, you can also customize your currency and the various stages possible for your deals.
Add custom deal stages
On your Deals page, choose the pencil icon next to the Stage column.
You can add a custom stage to any of the existing stages. For example, you can add another Success stage besides Won. Choose +Add Stage, type a name for the stage, and then choose Update.
Change your currency
On your Deals page, choose the pencil icon next to the Amount column.
Use the drop-down to choose from several different currencies, then choose Update.
