Class teams are for teachers and students. PLC teams are professional learning communities for educators. Staff teams are for staff leaders and staff members. A standard team can be any combination of students or school staff—great for clubs or groups.

At the bottom of your teams list, select Add team. Then, choose Class in the team type menu. 

At the bottom of your teams list, select Add team. Then, choose PLCs in the team type menu.

At the bottom of your teams list, select Add team. Then, choose Staff Members in the team type menu. Follow the steps to add co-owners and staff members to your team.

To see all teams where you're a member or an owner, select Teams from the side menu. Every team you belong to will show up in your teams list. Teams you have added to your Favorites will appear at the top.

To add a co-teacher, select More options  More options button next to your class name. Select Add members, then Teachers,. Type the teacher’s name. They’ll automatically be added as an Owner.

To add a student to your class team, select More options next to the name of your class, then Add members. Type the name of the student and select Add.

To find you class team settings, select the More options next to your team name, then View team, then Settings

To change your class theme, select the More options next to your class name. Select View team. In the Settings tab, select Change theme.

When possible, Microsoft Teams will attempt to automatically detect the language of your browser or operating system. Where Microsoft Teams doesn’t support the same language, it will default to either a related language or English.

You can change your display language and time zone in Microsoft 365.

To start a virtual meeting, select the Video icon  Video call button within a new conversation in a channel or from an existing conversation. To video call with smaller numbers of student, begin your video call in a chat. You can also use the Meeting tab and schedule team meetings or smaller video meetings for specific times. 

If you’re unable to use chat using the Chat icon, your school's IT Administrator may have turned it off. If that's the case, you can message team members in the Conversation tab of any channel. Use @mention with their name--other team members will be able to see your message.
