Attach a file to a Yammer message

Want to attach a file to your message in Yammer? No problem – you can upload a file from your computer or select a file on Yammer, SharePoint or OneDrive.

At the bottom of the message, click the icon that represents where the file is located.

Upload a file from your computer

  1. Select the upload icon Icon for attaching a file from your computer .

  2. In the window that opens, select the file you want to upload.

  3. Click Open, and then click Post.

Attach a file that's already on Yammer

  1. Select the Yammer icon Icon for attaching a file from Yammer .

  2. In the window that opens, select the file you want to attach. You can browse your Yammer files, or files posted in any Yammer group.

  3. Click Select, and then click Post.

Select a file on SharePoint or OneDrive

  1. Select the SharePoint icon Icon for attach file from SharePoint .

  2. In the window that opens, select the file you want to upload. You can find files in your SharePoint and OneDrive files, or in your Office 365 groups.

    OneDrive files are listed in My SharePoint Files > All.

  3. Click Select, and then click Post.

  1. Select the GIF icon Icon for attaching a GIF .

  2. In the window that opens, select the GIF you want to use.
