Add subtotals in a PivotTable

In Excel Online, you can view PivotTable subtotals if your workbook has PivotTables that show them. If subtotals aren’t shown, you won’t be able to add them.

If you have the Excel desktop application, you can use the Subtotals button to add subtotals in a PivotTable there. Here’s how:

Click Open in Excel and add subtotals in a PivotTable.
