Add a passcode to OneDrive for Android

You can add a passcode to the OneDrive app on your Android device to help prevent other people who use your device from accidentally accessing, changing, or deleting your files.

  1. In the OneDrive app, tap the Me icon Person icon in OneDrive app for iOS at the bottom of the app, and then open Settings.

  2. Tap Passcode, and then enable Require code.

  3. Enter a 6-digit code, and then enter it again to verify it.

  4. Once you have activated your passcode, you'll have the following options available:

    • Require code - where you can enable/disable the passcode requirement

    • Change code - change the 6-digit passcode

    • Passcode timeout (how long until it times out) - you can set it for 5 seconds, 10 seconds, 30 seconds, 1 minute, or 2 minutes

    • Use fingerprint to authenticate - check the box if you want to use this instead of your passcode
