Viewing reports in Management Reporter

Microsoft Office PerformancePoint 2007 Management Reporter Report Viewer has many powerful features for viewing reports:

  • Only authorized personnel can view reports. The Management Reporter administrator can assign permission to access reports broadly or specifically.

  • The report library folder structure makes it easy to locate and view reports. Because all users can see the complete report library structure, any user can easily locate reports within the report library.

  • You can send and receive report links in e-mail messages, which makes it easy to share reports with other Management Reporter users.

  • Authorized users can export reports to Excel files (.xslx), to Report Definition Language files (.rdl), or to a Microsoft® SQL Server™ Reporting Services (SSRS) server.

  • Authorized users can add external files, such as Microsoft® Office Word, Excel, or portable document format (PDF) documents, to the report library. This feature is useful for providing access to external files that are associated with a report or group of reports.

Management Reporter also provides the following administrative functions:

  • Ability to grant access permissions for reports, reporting trees, folders, and external files

  • Ability to create folders and subfolders for organizing the reports in the report library

  • Ability to easily move reports, folders, and external files-for example, to move a report, simply drag the report to a new location

  • Ability to rename or delete reports, folders, and external documents
