View project reports

There are a variety of reports that you can use to analyze project performance and resource performance within a project or across multiple projects. You can use PivotTable views and PivotChart views if you want to work interactively with the reports and change some of the fields that structure the report. All these reports help you to understand the health of your organization in terms of project and resource performance.

  1. On the Quick Launch, under Reporting, click Data Analysis.

  2. In the Choose a view box, select the view that displays the type of information that you want.

Note: Your server administrator determines the types of PivotTable views and PivotChart views that you see.

  3. To change the information that is displayed in the PivotTable views and PivotChart views, click View Options View Options . Select the Show Field List and Show Toolbars check boxes, and then drag the fields from the Fields list onto the appropriate row and column areas of the PivotTable or PivotChart view.

  4. To show more detail in the PivotTable or PivotChart views, on the Actions menu, click Expand. To show less detail, click Collapse.

    Notes:

    • To learn more about modifying the PivotTable or PivotChart views, click Help on the PivotTable toolbar or PivotChart toolbar.

    • You can create an image of a PivotTable or PivotChart view that you can copy into a report or a document on the Web. Click Save PivotTable as GIF or Save Chart as GIF, and then specify a location for the image file.

Why can't I perform some actions in Microsoft Office Project Web Access?

Depending on the permissions settings you used to log on to Project Web Access, you may not be able to see or use certain features. Also, what you see on some pages may differ from what is documented if your server administrator customized Project Web Access and did not customize the Help to match.
