View Recordings

Note: If Email and Company Name text boxes appear on the View Recording page, the recording properties have been set so that your e-mail address and company name are required to view the recording. Type your e-mail address and company name in the text boxes provided, and then click View Recording.

Show all recordings between. Defaults to displaying all recordings. Specify a start date in the first box and an end date in the second box to search for recordings made in a particular date range.

Or Show All. Displays all recordings regardless of date.

Containing. Specifies the words or strings that should be contained in the subject of the recordings displayed in the search results.

Search. Executes the search for recordings by date.

View. Sorts recordings by media format. Click the icon to open the View Recording Info page.

Subject. Sorts recordings by subject.

Date. Sorts recordings by date.

Duration. Sorts recordings by duration.

Organizer. Sorts recordings by the person who made them. Available to Administrators only.

Page #. Goes to another page of recording search results.

ID. Recording ID to search for.

Recording Key. Recording Key to search for.

View recording. Executes the search for recordings by recording ID or key.

If a search does not turn up the expected results, verify that you have set a minimum of search parameters or no search parameters besides Or Show All. Search parameters work in concert. Confirm that only the criteria that you intended to use are included in the search.

View Recording Info

Recording Subject. Name of the recording.

Recording ID. Recording ID supplied to the recording.

Organizer. Name of the person who made the recording.

Recorded On. Date and time when the recording was made.

Duration. Duration of the recording in hours and minutes (HH:MM).

Install Now. Installs the Live Meeting Replay Wrapper add-in so you can view recordings in Live Meeting Replay format.

View and Download Recordings. Lists the available recording formats and allows you to view or download the recording in the chosen format.

View. Opens the recording in the format you chose to view:

  • Microsoft Office Live Meeting High-Fidelity Presentation. Click View to start the Live Meeting High-Fidelity presentation. The presentation will be scanned for potentially harmful content or code by Microsoft Forefront and display in a browser.

  • Microsoft Office Live Meeting Replay. Click View to start Live Meeting Replay, which is a recording playback format that provides a viewing experience that is closer to the actual Live Meeting experience by including features such as clickable indexes, Presenter information, and an embedded view of the question and answer log.

Download. Allows you to either Open or Save the recording. If you select Open, you are unzipping the content in the recording to be viewed individually. For example, the meeting notes, meeting information, and the meeting video can be viewed separately. If you select Save, you are saving the content in the recording for later viewing.

Note: An Internet Explorer warning may appear when you try it download the recording. If the warning appears, click the warning bar, and then click Download File.

Note: To view a saved recording, do one of the following:

  • Microsoft Office Live Meeting High-Fidelity Presentation. In the folder that contains the downloaded recording, open the .zip file and extract all of the files. Then double-click the Start.htm file to view the recording.

  • Microsoft Office Live Meeting Replay. In the folder that contains the downloaded recording, open the .zip file and extract all of the files. Then double-click the WMV file to view the recording.


Format. Lists formats in which recordings are available.

Available. Indicates whether or not the recording is available in a particular format.

Note: If you have problems viewing the recording, verify that Windows Media Player 9 is installed and that your computer meets all system requirements for recording playback in your selected format.

Note: If you do not hear the meeting audio in the recording playback, make sure your speakers are configured properly and that the volume is adjusted to an audible level. Also, some meetings do not have audio. Contact the meeting Organizer to determine if this is the case.
