If you receive an invitation to share someone's Office 365 Home subscription, here's how to get started. After you receive an invitation to share Office 365 Home:
Choose Accept in the email or message you received to go to the You're Invited page.
Choose Get Started.
Sign in to your Microsoft Account. If you do not have a Microsoft Account, choose Create One! to sign up.
After you sign in, you get:
A personal My Office Account page where you can install Office, and view and manage your own installs.
Any available Office installs for PC, Mac, tablets, and smartphones.
60 Skype minutes of calling per month to mobile phones in eight countries and to landlines in 60+ countries (only in markets where Skype is available).
An extra terabyte of OneDrive storage.
My wife recently got an Office 365 Home subscription.
With it, she can install Office on five different PCs or Macs and five mobile devices, and share those installs with up to four people in our household.
So instead of buying my own subscription, I can share hers.
She just sent me the invitation by email.
To get started I open it and click Accept.
This takes me to the You’re invited page where I choose Get Started.
I sign in with my Microsoft Account, which is the email address I use for things like Xbox, Skype or Outlook.com.
I already have an account, but if I didn’t, I could click Create One! to sign up.
After I sign in, I go to My Office Account page.
From here I can install Office.
And I get more than just Office. I get 60 Skype minutes per month and an extra terabyte of storage in OneDrive.
Now that I have my Office 365 account, it's time to get to work.
