When you’re lost on a SharePoint site, you can use breadcrumbs to see where you are in the site hierarchy or to go back up the tree to another level. SharePoint 2010 provides two breadcrumb tools: a folder icon and a site path. These appear on most team sites, typically in the command area or ribbon, depending on the site design.
