OneDrive Help

With OneDrive, you can share your personal photos and files with others, give permission to view or edit them, and work together on documents at the same time.

All of your files and folders are private unless you share them.

To share documents or photos, just select the files, and then select Share.

By default, Allow editing is turned on. If you only want people to view the file, uncheck this.

You can also choose how you’d like to share.

To share a link in a text message, or post it to a social media site, select Get a link, Copy it, and then paste it where you want to share it.

Select More to see your social media options.

You can also email photos and files.

Just select Email, enter the email address of the people you want to share with, add an optional message, and select Share.

And everyone you share with will receive an email.

Share folders the same way.

Just select the folder and click Share.

Choose if you'd like to Allow editing, and select how you want to share the folder - as a link, or in email.

To manage permissions, select Shared, select a folder or file, and select the information icon.

Then select Manage access.

Here you can Add People you want to share with, select the Can Edit or Can View drop-down to change permissions, or Stop Sharing.

Or, select the X to remove the link.

And when you share Office files, everyone with editing permission can work on them at the same time.

You can even invite more people without leaving the document, by selecting Share.

Or share documents from the OneDrive app on your mobile device.

Just press and hold the file to select it, and then select Share.

With OneDrive, share your files and folders how you want, with who you want.
