Vendor Transaction History report: options and information

Items marked with an asterisk (*) are available in Microsoft Office Accounting Professional 2008 only.

The Vendor Transaction History report shows all transactions with your vendors in a selected date range. You can use this report to examine, in detail, all of your financial interactions with a vendor over a period of time, and you can view the original documents.

Open the report

  • On the Reports menu, point to Vendors and Payables, and then click Vendor Transaction History.

Report content

Default information in this report includes transaction types and numbers, dates, bill amounts, paid amounts, and void status. To view other information, such as purchase orders relating to vendor bills, due dates for bills, payment terms, jobs, and aging, do the following:

  • On the toolbar, click Modify Report, and then in the Modify Report pane, select the appropriate Columns options.

Change date range

To change the date range for this report, do the following:

  • On the toolbar, click the arrow next to Date Range, From, or To.

Sort by report groups

You can sort the groups within the report in addition to sorting the rows within the groups:

  • To sort the groups within the report, on the toolbar, click the arrow next to Sort Report Groups by, and then select an option.

  • To switch between ascending and descending order, click the sort by ascending or sort by descending buttons on the toolbar.

    *Foreign currency

    When Microsoft Office Accounting 2008 is set to use foreign currency, this report displays the amounts in the vendor currencies. In addition, the report changes to include columns that show the three-letter code for the vendor currencies and the amounts in U.S. dollars (USD).
