Use a SharePoint process repository to store process diagrams

A Visio Process Repository in SharePoint is a document library that provides check-in and check-out functionality and supports versioning for Visio diagrams. The document library includes optional columns to show cross-functional flowchart headings and the validation status of each diagram.

Check the list of SharePoint sites that are recognized on your computer by clicking File > Save As and selecting the SharePoint options. If you don’t see the process repository as an option, follow these steps to add it.

Add a repository to your list of SharePoint sites

  1. Use your browser to visit the SharePoint process repository page.

  2. In the Processes document library, click Connect to Office, and then click Add to My Sites.

After the process repository is added to your SharePoint sites, the option to save to the process repository is available.
