Use VoiceOver to share your screen in Skype for Business on iPhone and iPad

With Skype for Business, you can use VoiceOver—the screen reader built in to iOS—to share your screen on your iPhone and iPad.

Notes: 

  • If you don’t already have it, download and install the Skype for Business app from the App Store.

  • This topic assumes that you are using VoiceOver, the screen reader built in to iOS. To learn more about using VoiceOver, refer to Get started using VoiceOver with Skype for Business on iPhone and iPad.

  • The locations and user interface (UI) elements included when you open Skype for Business vary. The content and UI elements described in this topic serve as an example of some of the content and elements you might see.

Turn on locations and share your screen

  1. Join a meeting.

    Tip: For sign-in help, refer to Use VoiceOver for online meetings in Skype for Business on iPhone and iPad.

  2. Tap the More button. You hear “More options, Button.” Double-tap it. You hear “Alert, More.” As the focus moves to the More heading, the UI contains three elements that you can select (in the following order, from top to bottom):

    • More heading

    • Present button

    • Cancel button

  3. Tap the Present button. You hear “Present button.” Double-tap it. You hear “Alert, Cancel button.” As the focus moves to the Cancel, the UI contains two main levels of elements that you can select (in the following order, from top to bottom):

    • Buttons for all locations that you have turned on (such as the iCloud Drive button, Dropbox button, and OneDrive)

    • More button

    Tip: To turn on a location, do the following:

    a. Tap the More button. You hear “More.” Double-tap it. As the focus moves to the Manage Locations heading, you hear “Manage locations, Heading.” The UI contains four main levels of UI elements that you can select (in the following order, from top to bottom):

    • Manage Locations heading and Done link

    • Dropbox toggle button

    • OneDrive toggle button

    • Cancel button

    b. Do either of the following:

    • Tap the Dropbox toggle button, and then double-tap it. You hear “Dropbox, Switch button on.”

    • Tap the OneDrive toggle button, and then double-tap it. You hear “OneDrive, Switch button on.”

    c. Tap the Done button, and then double-tap it.

  4. To select a location, tap it. You hear the name of the location. Double-tap the location. As the focus moves to the location, the UI contains three main levels of elements that you can select (in the following order, from top to bottom):

    • Locations link, Location heading, and Done link

    • Files heading (or Accounts heading, if your phone is synced with more than one OneDrive account).

    • List of files you can present

  5. Select the file you want to present and share on your screen. You hear the name of the file.
