The Business Data Import and Export wizard can help you do the following:
Import business data into Business Contact Manager for Outlook
Export business data from Business Contact Manager for Outlook.
We recommend that you back up your Business Contact Manager database before you import a file, because this process cannot be reversed except by manually deleting the imported items.
Only the database owner can back up the files.
On the Business Contact Manager menu, point to Database Tools, and then click Manage Database.
In the Manage Database dialog box, on the Backup/Restore tab, click Back Up Database.
In the Database Backup dialog box, in the Back up Business Contact Manager to box, type the location for your backup file, or click Browse to select a location.
Note: You can save the backup file to any valid storage device, such as another computer, a CD, floppy disk, Zip drive, or company network.
To password-protect the backup file, type a password in both the Password and Verify password boxes.
To get assistance while completing a page in the wizard, click the Help button on that page.
Import a file Select this option to import business data into Business Contact Manager for Outlook from another program.
Export a file Select this option to export business data from Business Contact Manager for Outlook to another program.
To proceed with the import or export operation, click Next.
To stop the import or export operation and close the wizard, click Cancel.
Importing or exporting business data to or from different regions of the world is not recommended because some data structures and types are not convertible.
To open the Business Data Import and Export wizard, on the File menu point to Import and Export, and then click Business Contact Manager for Outlook.
