Skype for Business Online reporting

Skype for Business Online contains many different types of reports that give you the ability to quickly review information about usage and trends for active users, sessions, client device information and types of activities users are using.

Skype for Business Online reporting reference

In the Office 365 admin center, you can use different types of reports including those for Skype for Business Online.

To view these reports
  1. Go to the Office 365 admin center> Reports.

  2. In the Office 365 Dashboard window, under Skype for Business click on the name of the report you want to look at.

Report

Description

Active users

Shows the total number of single users that signed in and took part in at least one peer-to-peer session or conference during the time period you select.

Peer-to-peer sessions

Shows the total number of peer-to-peer sessions;, and the total number of peer-to-peer sessions that included instant messaging, audio, video, application sharing, and file transfers.

Conferences

Shows the total number of conferences, and the total number of conferences that included instant messaging, audio, video, application sharing, web, and dial-in sessions.

Audio minutes and video minutes

Shows the total number of minutes that users spent in audio peer-to-peer sessions, video peer-to-peer sessions, and audio/video conferences during the time period you select.

Client devices

Shows the users who used a mobile phone, tablet, or PC when participating in a peer-to-peer session or a conference during the time period you select.

Client devices per user

Shows the number of peer-to-peer sessions and conferences that a user participated in using a mobile phone, tablet, or PC during the last three months.

User activities

Shows the total number of activities that a user participated in during the time period you select.

Dial-in conferencing usage

Shows the PSTN usage details for users over the last three (3) months that includes the number of minutes spent in inbound/outbound conference calls and cost for these calls.

Dial-in conferencing blocked users

Shows the list of users that were blocked or unblocked for fraudulent call activities over the past three (3) months.

Important: Skype for Business Online reporting cmdlets are available in Exchange Online PowerShell. To connect to Exchange PowerShell, seeConnect to Exchange Online using remote PowerShell

Important: The Active users, Peer-to-peer sessions, Conferences, Audio minutes and video minutes, Client devices, Client devices per user, and User activities reports information won’t show up in the report for at least 48 hours. For example, if a user signs in to a Skype for Business client at 12:00 pm on Tuesday, that sign-in data won’t be in the Active users report until 12:00 pm on Thursday.

The Dial-in conferencing usage (including dial-out), Dial-in conferencing blocked users reports for PSTN phone calls report information won’t show up in the report for at least 4 hours. For example, if a user calls into a meeting at 1:00 pm on Monday using a mobile phone, that call information won’t appear in the Dial-in conferencing usage report until after 5:00 pm Monday.
