Sign out of Microsoft OneNote

You can stay signed in to OneNote indefinitely, but if you want to change accounts or you're using a shared iPad or iPhone, you can sign out of OneNote.

iPad
  1. In OneNote, tap the More options icon in the upper-left corner, and tap the gear icon next to the account name and email address.

  2. On the Settings screen that appears, under Account, tap the account name you'd like to sign out of.

  3. Tap the account name you'd like to sign out of and then choose Remove Account.

  4. Accept the notification that appears to confirm signing out.

Note: You can close any notebooks you're not using (or not signed into) if you don't want to see them in the list. Tap the More options icon, under Notebooks, tap Edit, tap the red circle next to the notebook you'd like to close, and tap Close.

iPhone
  1. In OneNote, tap the More options icon in the upper-left corner and then, at the bottom of the pane that appears, tap the gear icon.

  2. On the Settings screen that appears, under Account, tap the account name you'd like to sign out of.

  3. Tap the account name you'd like to sign out of and then choose Remove Account.

  4. Accept the notification that appears to confirm signing out.

Note: You can close any notebooks you're not using (or not signed into) if you don't want to see them in the list. Tap the More options icon, under Notebooks, tap Edit, tap the red circle next to the notebook you'd like to close, and tap Close.
