Sign in to Microsoft OneNote

When you first start using Microsoft OneNote, you'll be prompted to sign in. After you're signed in, your notes from the cloud and will sync across all your devices.

iPad
  1. In OneNote, tap the More options icon in the upper-left corner, and tap Sign in.

  2. On the Account screen that appears, tap Sign in.

  3. Type the email address or phone number that you'd like to use to sign in, and tap Next.

  4. Type your Microsoft Account and password, and tap Sign in.

    Note: Your Microsoft Account is an email address used to sign in to Microsoft services. You have a Microsoft Account if you have any of the following: Hotmail, Outlook.com, Xbox LIVE, MSN, Messenger, OneDrive, an Office 365 Home subscription, or your own email address that is registered as a Microsoft Account (Gmail, Yahoo, or others).

iPhone
  1. In OneNote, tap the More options icon in the upper-left corner and then, at the bottom of the pane that appears, tap the gear icon.

  2. On the Settings page that appears, tap Sign In.

  3. Type the email address or phone number that you'd like to use to sign in, and tap Next.

  4. Type your Microsoft Account and password, and tap Sign in.

    Note: Your Microsoft Account is an email address used to sign in to Microsoft services. You have a Microsoft Account if you have any of the following: Hotmail, Outlook.com, Xbox LIVE, MSN, Messenger, OneDrive, an Office 365 Home subscription, or your own email address that is registered as a Microsoft Account (Gmail, Yahoo, or others).

SharePoint notebooks

If you'd like to access notebooks on SharePoint, sign in to OneNote using OneDrive. After you're signed in, you’ll be able to access notebooks on SharePoint using a SharePoint URL, or by signing in to an Office 365 SharePoint site.
