Share a OneNote for Windows 8 notebook on SharePoint

With OneNote for Windows 8, you can share a notebook on SharePoint.

Note: The following steps won’t work with notebooks stored on OneDrive. See Share a notebook on OneDrive for info about how to do that.

To share an entire notebook on SharePoint, including all of its sections and pages:
  1. On any page, tap the gripper icon next to Recent Notes in the top left corner.

  2. In the gray pane that appears on the left, tap and hold the name of the notebook you want to share. A bold border and check mark appear when the notebook is selected.

  3. In the app bar at the bottom of the screen, tap Copy Link to Notebook.

  4. Switch to your favorite mail app, and then paste the copied link and a brief description into the message body.

  5. Add a subject and recipients, and then send the message. Recipients of your message will be able to access your notebook as long as they have permissions to your SharePoint site.
