Frequently asked questions
How do I rename my website with a custom domain?
Your Office 365 public website has an initial address that is something like www.contoso-public.sharepoint.com, where contoso is the name you chose when you signed up. Once you add a domain to Office 365, you can change your website address to reflect the new name. For more information on setting up a domain name, see Set up your domain name.
How do I optimize my website for mobile users?
If you want phone and tablet users to avoid having to scroll a lot on your site, use the prebuilt mobile master page when customizing your site. The mobile master page works for smaller screens. Navigation to your site is done as a drop-down list and lines wrap to fit on the smaller screen. For more information, see Set up your public website for mobile users.
How do I change the website navigation?
Navigation links show site visitors what information is available. You can easily create, edit, and delete links that appear in your site navigation. For more information, see Customize the navigation on your website.
Can I add a video or audio to my website?
Yes, you can embed both video and audio on your website. You can embed videos from a sharing site such as YouTube or Vimeo, or you can embed a video or audio from your computer. For details about how to do this, see Embed audio on a public website page.
