Set up Office apps on Windows Phone

Create, edit, and save documents using Office apps on your Windows Phone. Windows Phone 8.1 includes a pre-installed Office app and a separate OneNote app. Windows 10 phones are pre-installed with individual Office apps Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and OneNote. However, if you need to install them, see Install Office Mobile apps on a Windows 10 device.

To access documents you've saved to OneDrive, OneDrive for business, or SharePoint team sites, you will need to add the account that’s connected to that service. This may be a Microsoft account, and/or the work or school account someone assigned you as part of your organization's Office 365 subscription.

Select the option that describes what you want to do with your device:

If you added a Microsoft account when you set up your Windows phone, this account is automatically associated with your Office apps. When you first sign into the app you'll have access to documents you saved to the OneDrive service associated with that Microsoft account. Select the steps that match your device's operating system.
