Rotate text in a text box

When you want your text to show vertically (letters stacked one on top of the other), horizontally, or rotated facing the right left margins, use the Text Direction commands.

  1. Select the text that you want to rotate or stack.

  2. On the Home tab, in the Paragraph group, click Text Direction, and then click the direction that you want your text to take.

Note: If you want only some of the text in an existing placeholder to rotate or stack, you can Add placeholders to contain text, pictures, videos, etc. to contain the rotated text and keep it separate from the horizontal text.
