Report filter options: Transaction Detail by Account

Items marked with an asterisk (*) are available in Microsoft Office Accounting Professional 2009 only.

You can use the Select Filter Options dialog box in the Transaction Detail by Account report to view your report data by nominal name and type, amount, currency, department, date, name, number or transaction type.

To open the Select Filter Options dialog box, open the Transaction Detail by Account report and then click Filter Options on the Reports toolbar.

Option

Description

Date range

Click the Date Range arrow to select one of the date range options. To create a date range, enter the dates in the From and To fields by typing the dates or by clicking the From or To arrow to display the calendar. Click Apply if you want to continue in this dialog box, or click OK.

*Department

To filter by specific departments, click the Options arrow, select Selected Departments and then click Show Selected. In the Select Departments dialog box, select up to five departments that you want to appear in the report and then click OK. Click Apply if you want to continue in the Select Filter Options dialog box, or click OK.

Note: The Department filter is available only if you selected Use departments in the Preferences dialog box.

Account

To filter by account type, click the Options arrow and then select the nominal account type option you want. If you want to filter by specific accounts, select Selected Accounts and then click Show Selected. In the Select Accounts dialog box, select up to five accounts that you want to appear in the report and then click OK. Click Apply if you want to continue in the Select Filter Options dialog box, or click OK.

Currency

Shows the transaction currency of all the transactions that you want to view in the report. You can select all the currencies or any specific currency from the list available in the Options field.

GBP Amount

Select one of the filter options, and enter the amount that you want, for example, amount less than, amount equal to or amount greater than, and specify the threshold amount. Click Apply if you want to continue in this dialog box, or click OK.

Name

To filter by names (customer, supplier, employee), click the Options arrow, select Selected Names and then click Show Selected. In the Select Names dialog box, select the names that you want to appear in the report and then click OK. Click Apply if you want to continue in the Select Filter Options dialog box, or click OK.

No.

The default setting includes all transaction numbers in the report. To specify transaction numbers to include in the report, select Equal to and then type the transaction number, or select Range and then type the beginning and ending numbers of the range. Click Apply if you want to continue in this dialog box, or click OK.

Transaction type

To filter by transaction types, click the Options arrow, select Selected Types and then click Show Selected. In the Select Transaction Types dialog box, select the transaction types that you want to appear in the report and then click OK. Click Apply if you want to continue in the Select Filter Options dialog box, or click OK.

Void

The default status does not display voided entries. Select Show if you want to view all entries in the report.
