Replace placeholder text with your own

Placeholder text indicates the places where you need to supply your own information. In this template, the placeholder text appears either as bold text within brackets, such as [Name], or as a blank line amid other text. If you are creating a form that people will fill out on paper, you'll want to leave these blanks for them to write in. Otherwise, you'll want to replace them and the bold text in brackets with your own information.

To do this, click the placeholder text and then type. Your text will replace the placeholder text because that text is contained in a field that's designed to be selected in its entirety when you click it. If you see text that looks similar to this.

{MACROBUTTON DoFieldClick [Address]}

it means that Microsoft Word is showing the underlying code of the field. To hide the field codes, press ALT+F9.
