Renaming folders/reports/external files in Management Reporter

You can rename folders, reports, report versions, and external documents in the report library.

When you rename a folder that is used as the output location for a report, Microsoft Office PerformancePoint 2007 Management Reporter maintains the link to the renamed folder. For example, if a report is generated and its output is mapped to a folder that you renamed, the link to the renamed folder is maintained and the new report generates to the renamed folder.

When you rename a report in the report library, you are renaming a specific version of the report. The next time the report is generated, the original report name is used, but your renamed version still appears in the version list.

To rename a folder or report, do the following:

  1. In the navigation pane, click Report Library.

  2. Right-click an object, and then click Rename.

  3. Type a new name, and then press ENTER.
