Products and Services in Business Contact Manager

Maintain your product and service items list in Business Contact Manager for Outlook by adding items, editing items, or importing a list of items from another application.

If you are connected to an accounting system that includes an items list, you can also import this list into Business Contact Manager for Outlook.

Note: This feature may not be available with your accounting system. For more information, see Help in your accounting system.

Type name or select from list      Type an TE000129541 name in the box to search for an item, or select an item name in the list.

You can sort the list by clicking the column headers:

Item Name      Click this header to sort the item list by name.

Description      Click this header to sort the item list by description.

Unit Price     Click this header to sort the item list by price.

You can use the following buttons to manage the list:

Add      Click this button to add new items to the item list.

Note: If Business Contact Manager for Outlook is integrated with your accounting system, new items that are added are not integrated into the Items list in your accounting system. Product and service items from the Items list in your accounting system are integrated into the Product and Service Items List in Business Contact Manager for Outlook.

Edit      Click this button to edit the details of an item that you have selected in the item list.

Note:  The Edit button is available if the item is found only in Business Contact Manager for Outlook. If Business Contact Manager for Outlook and your accounting system are integrated, items in the list can be found in your accounting system and Business Contact Manager for Outlook.

Delete      Click this button to delete an item that you have selected in the item list.

Refresh      Click this button to replace the items in your Product and Service Items List with the current Items list from your accounting system.

You can also import a list of product and service items from another application.

Note: This list must be saved as a comma separated values file (.csv) containing the following fields in this order: Item Name, Description, and Unit Price. Create a separate line in the file for each item you are importing, separated by commas, or the list separator found in Control Panel, in the Regional and Language Options dialog box, on your Regional Options tab, with no spaces before or after the commas.

Import      Click this button to import a list containing multiple items.

Note: To access this form, on the Business Contact Manager menu, click Product and Service Items List.
