Partner Resellers: Make changes to your client's Office 365 subscriptions

As a Microsoft Cloud Partner reseller, you can manage your clients' subscriptions directly from the Partner admin center. You can view details about their current subscriptions, make changes to the number of licenses, or add and remove subscriptions. When you create a client account, that client won't be able to manage subscriptions, billing, or licensing. You need to manage this information for your client.

View a client's subscriptions

Note: If your client has purchased subscriptions directly, you can view them, but you cannot manage them. You can make changes only to the subscriptions you have purchased for your customer.

  1. In the Partner admin center from the list view in Client management, you can easily view your client's subscriptions by selecting the client in the list view. The client's subscriptions will show in the action pane.

  2. Click any of the subscriptions to open the Subscriptions page where you can view or change the number of licenses and the status.

Change the number of licenses for a client's current subscription

  1. In the Partner admin center from the list view in Client management select the client you want to manage, and then click the subscription from the right-hand action pane.

  2. Select the subscription you want to change, and then click modify quantity.

  3. Enter the new number of licenses for the organization and then click submit.

Change the status of a subscription

You can change a client's status from active to suspended. When a client's subscription is suspended, the client begins the process of having their account canceled. For more information about how long users can access their Office 365 account and account data, see the Cancel before the end of your term section of Cancel my subscription.

  1. In the Partner admin center from the list view in Client management select the client you want to manage, and then click the subscription from the right-hand action pane.

  2. Select the subscription you want to change, and then click change status.

  3. Verify that this is the subscription that you want to suspend or activate, and then select Suspend or Active from the drop-down box.

  4. Click save.

Add a new subscription for a client

After you've added a client and created an Office 365 account, you can add additional subscriptions to their account.

  1. In the Partner admin center from the list view in Client management select the client you want to manage, and then click Add new subscription from the right-side action pane.

  2. Select the subscription that you want to add from the Select offer drop-down box. You'll only see offers that you're certified to sell.

  3. Enter the number of licenses that for this subscription in the Number of seats field.

  4. Click submit.

  5. Verify in the confirmation field that the number of seats is correct, and then click done.

  6. You'll return to the Subscriptions page and the new subscription will be listed.
